The Pešter Plateau, one of the largest karst fields in the Balkans, represents an exceptionally valuable and well-preserved natural area. Situated at an elevation of around 1,150 meters, it was here, in the village of Karajukića Bunari, that a temperature of –39.5 °C was recorded on January 13th, 1985, making this one of the coldest regions in Serbia. This area has been designated as a Special Nature Reserve, covering 3,117.97 hectares. The reserve consists of a unique complex of marsh, swamp, and peat bog habitats, placing it among the most significant preserved biodiversity areas in the country. The plateau is home to numerous relict, endemic, rare, and endangered plant and animal species, including those of both national and international importance. Molitva Viewpoint

The Molitva viewpoint is located only 15 kilometers from Sjenica. It is the place where the most beautiful photographs above the Uvac Canyon are taken. Sultan Valide Mosque

The Sultan Valide Mosque is located in the heart of Sjenica and is one of the most significant monuments of Ottoman architecture in Serbia. Built in the mid-19th century as an endowment by Pertevnihal Valide Sultan, the mother of Sultan Abdulaziz, it is the only imperial mosque in Serbia and a true rarity in the region. Its dome has a diameter of 15 meters without any supporting pillars, which makes this imperial mosque unique, as it is the largest dome without pillars in the Balkans. Jadovnik Mountain

Jadovnik is a mountain 15 km west of Sjenica, with the highest peak Katunić (1734 m). It is believed that it got its name from what it can offer to its visitors, especially in winter. Jadovnik is passable and attractive primarily for hikers who have been visiting it more and more often in recent years. It is composed of pastures and sunny slopes, while wider forest areas descend toward the valleys of the Uvac.
